The Christmas Advent figurine features a little girl enjoying the magic of Christmas Sunday after Sunday in the lead-up to Christmas Eve. With room for four candles, it serves as an evocative Advent candle holder, with which to celebrate the four Advent Sundays in the countdown to Christmas. The figurine is made of white porcelain, surrounded by different coloured glazes in natural, Nordic shades. Each of Thora Finnsdottir's ceramic stories features a Christmas message, reflecting her experimental, exploratory approach to form and narrative, in which she draws on the stories and traditions of Kähler's art and design.
