Kay Bojesen created the soldiers for the first time in 1940 in honour of King Christian X’s 70th birthday as a tribute to the Danish king. With the new sentry box, you can celebrate your birthdays at home in style and honour the new King Frederik X. The sentry box stands 36 cm tall and is a scaled-down replica from original drawings of Danish military sentry boxes. The Royal Life Guards have guarded palaces and castles in Denmark since 1658, and now you can give your Royal Guardsman a place to shelter in this beautifully crafted sentry box in FSC® certified wood, painted in the traditional red and white colours and embellished with the Royal Monogram in gold.
