The green colour of the tree is taken from the green ring on the tower, and the ball on top is painted in gold so that it sparkles like a star. Photos from the archives show that Kay Bojesen loved to make small Christmas displays. For these, he sometimes used the stacking tower as a Christmas tree to create his stories. The Christmas trees’ rings are turned in FSC® certified rubber tree, while the the glued-on top comes in FSC® certified beech wood. As always, the manual production with paint and printing is carried out with the great precision and care typical of Kay Bojesen's wooden figurines. Attention has been given to the wood, painting and craftsmanship, giving the figurines a very special quality – both physically and aesthetically. Kay Bojesen's work is based on the philosophy that wood only comes to life when it has a story.
